Arrived

Frankfurt airport after 8 hours of waiting

I arrived in Switzerland late June 13 after a two day flight with a very long stopover in Frankfurt. This has been a very long process to get here but it was worth it to be in this amazing city with Jade.

Firstly a few facts that I have learnt about living in the city of Geneva:

Population is around 185,000 and there are 8 districts and we live in an apartment in Champel which is across from Jades work at Cargill. This is considered a “posh” neighborhood http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Champel

Geneva is French speaking but the majority of people will respond in English after they kindly listen to you fumble through a few French words.

They have two types of grocery stores in this area, the Migros and the COOP (I call it Co-op). Baggett must be purchased daily, most food expires in 4 days and a nice bottle of wine costs around $4.00

There are 5 TV stations in English, BBC prime, CNN, CNBC, Cartoon Network and TSI

It is very quiet city but the soccer fans have definatly brought some noise and excitment during the world cup!
